A message from our Chairman

Anand Katta IRPS
Chairman, RMHS
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Education is the basic need for every citizen. Our Constitution guarantees every child the right to education in the form of a Fundamental Right. It is our prime duty to ensure that every child avails the opportunity to learn and develop his cognitive capability, skill and other capabilities through our institution.
Competency-based recruitment of teachers and the provision of facilities like Tanmayam, Tripti, Pragnatha and Rail-Maidhan exemplify our commitment to the holistic development of students.
Being aware that education makes or mars the future of the nation in general and the citizen in particular, we are continuously striving to improve through feedback and evaluation of scholastic and co-scholastic areas.
RMHS is undergoing a fundamental transformation in all aspects. The multi-faceted development happening now is a watershed moment in the chronicles of our school.
Be it the interaction of our little children with Shubhanshu Shukla sir, the recent cultural orientation with renowned artists of India, or the space expo by ISRO — all these are examples that we are charting into new territory.
I hope RMHS capitalises on all these activities and achieves the desired learning outcome and the all-round development of our institution in general and students in particular.
I envision every student passing out of RMHS as academically competent, socially skilled and emotionally developed.
— Anand Katta IRPS, Chairman, RMHS
A message from our Gazetted Headmaster

Ch. Vijaya Raju
Gazetted Headmaster
Chief Editor, Vikas Magazine
At the outset, I from the editorial desk would like to state that we believe the key role of our institution is not only to excel in academics, but also to empower our students to become great achievers.
Nowadays children have more focus on media, as the influence of communication and social media has grown exponentially with the advance of technology. First there were books, then newspapers, magazines, photography, sound recordings and films — and now instant and new social media.
To promote all-round development, Railway Mixed High School encourages students to take part in the morning assembly, speeches, elocution, essay writing, quizzes, poster making and various other competitions.
We march our teens ahead with an imaginative vision of moral and ethical values, encouraging students to balance the curriculum and the extra-curricular, and we make sure to see the children walk with the development of the school and be prepared to face life's challenges.
The “Vikas” magazine is a milestone that marks our growth, thoughts and aspirations, made possible by our dedicated and supportive management, devoted staff and co-operative parents. I would like to thank the editorial team for their persistent perseverance and dedication in publishing it.
I heartily wish all the readers that “Vikas” gives them an experience of the all-round development of the children.
Not to go with the flow. Not to conform. To be unique. To stand apart, to prove worthy.
— Ch. Vijaya Raju, Gazetted Headmaster
